وَ ظِلٍّ مِنْ يَحْمُومٍ

و ظلّ من يحموم

Wathillin min yahmoomin

در سايه اي از دود سياه ،

و سايه از دوده.

زير سايه دود آتش دوزخ قرار مى‏گيرند.

و سایه ای از دودهای بسیار غلیظ و سیاه،

و در سايه‏اى از دود سياه گرم‏اند

و سايه‏اى از دود تار.

در سايه دودهاى متراكم،

و [در] سايه‏اى از دود سياه.

و سايه از دود سياه

و در سايه‏اى از دود سياه

و در سایه دودهای متراکم و آتشزا!

و سايه‏اى از دودى سخت سياه،

از دود سياه

و سايه اى از دود سياه

و سایه‌ای از دود آتش دوزخ.

حتي سايه هايشان داغ است.

And shade from black smoke .

And shadow of black smoke,

and the shadow of a smoking blaze

and the shadows of black smoke –

Onder de schaduw van zwarten rook.
