فَلَوْ لا إِذا بَلَغَتِ الْحُلْقُومَ

فلو لا إذا بلغت الحلقوم

Falawla itha balaghati alhulqooma

پس چرا آنگاه که جان به گلوگاه رسد ،

پس چرا چون جان به گلوگاه رسد،

پس چرا هنگامى كه جان فردى بگلو رسيد (جلوى مرگ او را نميگيريد؟)

پس چرا هنگامی که روح به گلوگاه می رسد،

پس چرا آنگه كه برسد جان بگلو (به هنگام مرگ)

پس چرا آنگاه كه [جان شما] به گلو مى‏رسد،

پس چرا هنگامى كه جان به گلوگاه مى‏رسد

پس چرا [آن كافر تكذيب نمى‏كند] چون [جان‏] به گلوى [او] مى‏رسد؟

پس چرا وقتى كه ميرسد (جان) به حنجره

پس هنگامى كه [جانها] به حلقوم مى‏رسد

پس چرا هنگامی که جان به گلوگاه می‌رسد (توانایی بازگرداندن آن را ندارید)؟!

پس چرا چون [جان‏] به گلوگاه رسد- هنگام مرگ-،

پس چرا وقتى كه ميرسد (جان) به حنجره

پس چرا گاهى كه رسد به گلوگاه

پس چرا هنگامی که جان کسی به گلو رسد.

هنگامي كه اجل فرا رسد و آن (نفس شما) به گلويتان رسد-

So if only that the throat/pharynx (the death) reached.

Then why do you not (intervene) when (the soul of a dying person) reaches the throat?

Why, but when the soul leaps to the throat of the dying

Why, then, [The elliptic implication is: «If, then, as you claim, you are really independent of any Supreme Power, why do you not, etc., thus connecting with verses 57-74.] when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man],
