كَلاَّ إِذا بَلَغَتِ التَّراقِيَ

كلاّ إذا بلغت التّراقي

Kalla itha balaghati alttaraqiya

آري ، چون جان به گلوگاه رسد ،

حاشا، چون جان به گلوگاهها رسد.

هرگز (چنان نيست كه كافران پنداشتند) وقتى كه جان آدمى بگلو رسد.

این چنین نیست [که می پندارد] ، هنگامی که جان به گلوگاه رسد،

نه چنانست هنگامى كه برسد جان به استخوان زير گلو

چنين نيست (كه انسان مى‏پندارد! او ايمان نمى‏آورد) تا موقعى كه جان به گلوگاهش رسد،

آرى، چون جان به گلو برسد،

نه چنانست، چون [جان‏] به استخوان‏هاى سينه رسد.

نه چنين است چون برسد (جان) به چنبره‏هاى گردن

چنين نيست [كه مى‏گوييد] هنگامى كه [روح‏] به گلوگاهها برسد

چنین نیست (که انسان می‌پندارد! او ایمان نمی‌آورد) تا موقعی که جان به گلوگاهش رسد،

آرى، آنگاه كه جان به چنبر گردن- گلوگاه- رسد،

نه چنين است چون برسد (جان) به چنبره‏هاى گردن

نه چنين است بلكه گاهى كه برسد گلوگاه ها را

چنین نیست (که منکران قیامت پنداشتند. باش تا) آن گاه که جانشان به گلو رسد.

مسلماً، هنگامي كه (نفس) به گلو برسد.

No, but when/if the collar bones/verge of death reached.

Nay, when (the soul) reaches to the collar bone (i.e. up to the throat in its exit),

No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles

NAY, but when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man],

Alas, when it reaches the throat.

Hearken ! when the soul of the dying man comes up to the throat,
