وَ ما أُرْسِلُوا عَلَيْهِمْ حافِظِينَ

و ما أرسلوا عليهم حافظين

Wama orsiloo AAalayhim hafitheena

و حال آنکه آنان را به مواظبت اعمال مؤمنان نفرستاده بودند

و آنان را بر ايشان نگهبان نفرستاده بودند.

ما آن بدكاران را محافظ و مسئول بر مؤمنين قرار نداده‏ايم.

و حال آنکه کافران را بر مؤمنان نگهبان و مراقب نفرستاده بودند [که مراقب هدایت و گمراهی آنان باشند.]

و حال آنكه فرستاده نشدند كافران بر مؤمنان نگهبان

و چون مؤمنان را مى‏ديدند، مى‏گفتند: «اينها [جماعتى‏] گمراهند.»

در صورتى كه آنان به مواظبت مؤمنان گماشته نشده بودند.

و آنها به نگاهبانى ايشان [مؤمنان‏] فرستاده نشده بودند.

و فرستاده نشدند بر ايشان نگهبانان

و بر آنان (مؤمنان) نگهبان فرستاده نشده بودند

در حالی که هرگز مأمور مراقبت و متکفّل آنان [= مؤمنان‌] نبودند!

و حال آنكه آنها (كافران) را بر آنان (مؤمنان) نگهبان نفرستاده بودند- تا آنان را زير نظر گيرند و بر اعمالشان بخندند-.

و فرستاده نشدند بر ايشان نگهبانان

و فرستاده نبودند بر ايشان نگهبانان

در صورتی که آن بدان را موکّل کار و نگهبان اعمال مؤمنان نفرستاده بودند (تا بدین سخنان پردازند).

آنها چيزي به عنوان محافظان (نامرئي) ندارند.

And they were not sent on them protecting/observing .

But they (disbelievers, sinners) had not been sent as watchers over them (the believers).

Yet they were not sent as watchers over them.

And, withal, they have no call to watch over [the beliefs of] others. . .

Maar zij zijn niet gezonden om over hen te waken,

But they were not sent over them as caretakers.

Certo non hanno avuto l’incarico di vegliare su di loro.

But they (disbelievers, sinners) had not been sent as watchers over them (the believers).

Однако они не были посланы к ним хранителями.

Но ведь они не были приставлены к ним стражами.

And they were not sent to be keepers over them.

Yet they were not sent as guardians over them.

but they are not sent as guardians over them!

Oysaki kendileri, inananlar üzerine bekçi gönderilmemişti.

Yet they were not sent to be their guardians.

Yet, they have not been sent as watchers over them.

«They have no such thing as (invisible) guards.»

And yet they have no mission to be their guardians.

But they are not sent to be keepers over them.

But they were not sent as keepers over them.

Aber sie sind nicht als Wächter über sie gesandt.

Но скверным не дано нести над верными опеку.

Бит ул кәферләр мөселманнарга сакчы итеп тә вә гамәлләрендә язучы итеп җибәрелмәделәр.

حالانکہ وہ ان پر نگراں بنا کر نہیں بھیجے گئے تھے

حالانکہ وہ ان (کے حال) پر نگہبان بنا کر نہیں بھیجے گئے تھے،
