وَ اللَّيْلِ إِذا يَسْرِ

و اللّيل إذا يسر

Waallayli itha yasri

و سوگند به شب چون روي به رفتن نهد

و سوگند به شب چون سرآيد.

سوگند به شب هنگامى كه بپايان ميرسد.

و به شب هنگامی که می گذرد.

سوگند به شب آنگه كه بگذرد

و به جفت و تاق،

سوگند به شب، آن گاه كه سرآيد.

و بشب چون روان شود.

و شب چون درگذرد

و به شب چون بگذرد

و به شب، هنگامی که (به سوی روشنایی روز) حرکت می‌کند سوگند (که پروردگارت در کمین ظالمان است)!

و به شب چون برود.

و شب چون در گذرد

و به شب گاهى كه برود

و قسم به شب تار هنگامی که برود.

سوگند به شب هنگامي که روز مي شود.

And/by the night when (it) goes/departs.

And by the night when it departs.

by the night when it journeys on!

Consider the night as it runs its course!

Bij den nacht als die aanbreekt.

And the night when it passes.

e per la notte quando trascorre.

And by the night when it departs.

Клянусь ночью, когда она проходит!

клянусь ночью на ее исходе!

And the night when it departs.

Yola koyulduğu zaman geceye.

And Witness to the Truth is the departing of the Night of Ignorance.

By the night as it passes.

By the night when it pursues its course!

اور رات کی جب جانے لگے

اور رات کی قسم جب گزر چلے (مراد ہر شب ہے یا بطورِ خاص شبِ مزدلفہ یا شبِ قدر)،
