فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمْ عَذابُ يَوْمِ الظُّلَّةِ إِنَّهُ كانَ عَذابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ

فكذّبوه فأخذهم عذاب يوم الظّلّة إنّه كان عذاب يوم عظيم

Fakaththaboohu faakhathahum AAathabu yawmi alththullati innahu kana AAathaba yawmin AAatheemin

پس تکذيبش کردند و در آن روز ابري ، عذاب آنان را فرو گرفت و آن عذاب روزي بزرگ بود

آنگاه او را دروغگو انگاشتند و عذاب روز ابرى سايه افكن آنان را فرو گرفت، كه آن عذاب روزى سهمگين بود.

آن گاه او را تكذيب كردند و عذاب روز تاريك آنها را فرا گرفت. براستى كه عذاب آن روز بسيار بزرگ و شديد بود.

پس او را تکذیب کردند؛ در نتیجه عذاب روز سایبان [یعنی روزی که ابری تیره و صاعقه زا سایه می اندازد] آنان را فرا گرفت، همانا آن عذاب روزی بزرگ بود،

پس دروغ پنداشتند گروه شعيب وى را و گرفتشان عذاب روز سايه حقا كه آن عذاب بود عذاب روزى بزرگ

پس او را تكذيب كردند، و عذابِ روزِ ابر [آتشبار] آنان را فرو گرفت. به راستى آن، عذاب روزى هولناك بود.

سرانجام او را تكذيب كردند و عذاب روز سايه سار آنها را در خود گرفت كه اين عذاب روز بزرگى بود.

پس او را تكذيب كردند، پس بگرفتشان عذاب «روز سايه» بى‏گمان آن عذاب روز بزرگ بود.

پس تكذيب كردند او را پس گرفتشان عذاب روز سايبان آتشبار بدرستيكه آن بود عذاب روزى بزرگ

پس او را دروغزن انگاشتند و عذاب روز ابر سايه‏گستر آنان را فرو گرفت كه آن عذاب روزى سهمگين بود

سرانجام او را تکذیب کردند، و عذاب روز سایبان (سایبانی از ابر صاعقه‌خیز) آنها را فراگرفت؛ یقیناً آن عذاب روز بزرگی بود!

پس تكذيبش كردند، آنگاه عذاب روز سايه- ابر سياهى كه از آن آتش مى‏باريد- آنان را فرو گرفت براستى كه آن، عذاب روزى بزرگ بود.

پس تكذيب كردند او را پس گرفتشان عذاب روز سايبان آتشبار بدرستى كه آن بود عذاب روزى بزرگ

پس تكذيبش كردند پس بگرفتشان عذاب روز ظلّه (سايبان) كه بوده است آن عذاب روزى بزرگ

باز او را تکذیب کردند و به عذاب سخت روز سایه‌بان (یعنی روزی که مردم از شدت گرما به سایه‌بانی پناه می‌بردند و باز از گرمی هلاک می‌شدند) گرفتار شدند که عذاب آن روز بسیار بزرگ و سخت بود.

آنها او را باور نكردند و درنتيجه، به عذاب روز سايبان گرفتار شدند. آن عذاب روزي هيبت انگيز بود.

So they denied him , so torture (of) the shade’s day/time punished/took them, that it truly was a great day’s/time’s torture.

But they belied him, so the torment of the day of shadow (a gloomy cloud) seized them, indeed that was the torment of a Great Day.

But they cried him lies; then there seized them the chastisement of the Day of Shadow; assuredly it was the chastisement of a dreadful day.

But they gave him the lie. And thereupon suffering overtook them on a day dark with shadows: [This may refer either to the physical darkness which often accompanies volcanic eruptions and earthquakes (which, as shown in 7:91, overlook the people of Madyan), or to the spiritual darkness and gloom which comes in the wake of belated regrets.] and, verily, it was the suffering of an awesome day!

En zij beschuldigden hen van bedrog; daarom overviel hen de straf van den dag der schaduwgevende wolk, en dit was de straf van den vreeselijken dag.

But they denied him, so the retribution of the day of shadow took them. It was the retribution of a terrible day.

Lo trattarono da bugiardo. Li colpì allora il castigo del Giorno dell’Ombra. In verità fu il castigo di un Giorno terribile.

But they belied him, so the torment of the day of shadow (a gloomy cloud) seized them, indeed that was the torment of a Great Day.

Они сочли его лжецом, и их постигли мучения в день тени. Воистину, это были мучения в Великий день.

Но они отвергли его, и их поразило наказание в день сени. Воистину, это было наказание великого [Судного] дня.

But they called him a liar, so the punishment of the day of covering overtook them; surely it was the punishment of a grievous day.

But they denied him, so there came on them the retribution of the day of gloom. Lo! it was the retribution of an awful day.

but they called him liar, and the torment of the day of the shadow seized them; for it was the torment of a mighty day:

Onu yalanladılar; bunun üzerine o gölgelik gününün azabı onları yakalayıverdi. O, gerçekten büyük bir günün azabıydı.

But they belied him, then the punishment of the Day of Shadow (raining fire) seized them. Truly, it was the punishment of a dreadful day.

But they persisted in denial. Then the Day of overshadowing gloom seized them. It was the suffering of an awesome day. (Historically, a dark extensive cloud rained upon them heavily and incessantly. It is sometimes referred to as the Day of the Canopy).

They disbelieved him and, consequently, they incurred the retribution of the Day of the Canopy. It was the retribution of an awesome day.

And when they treated him as a liar, the chastisement of the day of cloud overtook them. This truly was the chastisement of a dreadful day!

And they charged him with falsehood: Wherefore the punishment of the day of the shadowing cloud overtook them; and this was the punishment of a grievous day.

So they rejected him. Then the punishment of the day of overshadowing gloom overtook them. That was indeed the punishment of a dreadful day.

Und sie erklärten ihn für einen Lügner. So ereilte sie die Strafe des Tags des überschattenden Düsters.Das war fürwahr die Strafe eines schrecklichen Tags.

И все ж они сочли его лжецом, ■ И их постигла (Божья) кара ■ В день пелены, (затмившей солнце), ■ Что кару Дня Великого явила им.

Һәм алар пәйгамбәрне ялганга тоттылар, Аллаһ аларга бик каты эсселек җибәрде, соңра алар өстенә бер болыт җибәрде, алар эсселектән качып болыт астына җыелдылар, аннары шул болыттан ут явып һәммәсен һәлак итте. Бу ґәзаб олуг көннең ґәзабыдыр.

تو ان لوگوں نے ان کو جھٹلایا، پس سائبان کے عذاب نے ان کو آ پکڑا۔ بےشک وہ بڑے (سخت) دن کا عذاب تھا

سو انہوں نے شعیب (علیہ السلام) کو جھٹلا دیا پس انہیں سائبان کے دن کے عذاب نے آپکڑا، بیشک وہ زبردست دن کا عذاب تھا،
